Heat Battle Back but Fall 6–3 to Vice City
A spirited comeback, a missed penalty and nine outstanding saves from Alex Rodriguez in a hard-fought preseason defeat.
305 Heat FC fell 6–3 to Vice City after a determined fightback in a demanding preseason friendly. The Heat went 3–0 down but refused to fold, pulling the score back to 3–2 before halftime. A missed penalty denied the side a chance to level the match before the break.
Vice City added three more goals in the second half, while the Heat found one more of their own. Jordan, Esli and Isjanlet were the goalscorers, with Hedai contributing an assist and guest player Cardoso Sr. supplying two.
The Heat created chances, including dangerous headers that were blocked or saved, but too many shots missed the target and defensive mistakes proved costly. Vice City were the stronger side overall. Goalkeeper Alex Rodriguez was outstanding despite arriving after kickoff, making nine saves—including a penalty stop—to keep his teammates in the fight.
It wasn't our night, but the response from 3–0 down showed the fight in this team. We learn, we regroup, and we go again.
